The apprenticeship register is closed most of the year, applications routinely fail on financial health or capacity evidence, and Ofsted's Education Inspection Framework rewards providers who built their curriculum intent before they built their spreadsheet. Getting on RoATP is the visible hurdle; passing your first Ofsted monitoring visit is the one that quietly closes providers. Both need the same underlying infrastructure — and both punish providers who bolt it on after the fact.

Discovery
We assess route (employer-provider vs supporting vs main), target standards, and financial-health position. Written scope follows.
Approval pack

Launch
First cohort enrolled, ILR live, off-the-job tracking running from day one. Not retrofitted at month six.
Monitoring visit rehearsal
New-provider monitoring visit walked through with the actual documents Ofsted will ask for. So the visit is boring.

Generalist consultants can write a business plan. Getting an academy through approval in a regulated field takes vocabulary inspectors and awarding bodies recognise.

Is the RoATP register open right now?
It opens in windows. We prepare your application so you're submission-ready when the next window opens — not scrambling in the last two weeks.
How long before we can draw down funding?
From RoATP approval, first ILR claim is typically the month after your first enrolment. So plan for 4–9 months from engagement to first funding, depending on the register window.
Can we deliver without being on RoATP?
Yes — as a private, commercially funded provider. But you can't touch the levy. We'll flag which route fits your commercial model.
What does an engagement cost?
Fixed fee for the RoATP and Ofsted-readiness scope, quoted after discovery. Ongoing curriculum and audit support is scoped separately.
